Laguna Beach, CA - Lawrence "Kim" McConnell (1954-2026)

Lawrence "Kim" McConnell of Laguna Beach passed away on March 9 at age 71. A San Diego native born to Arleigh and Mary McConnell, Kim was a man of immense generosity, humor, and spirit.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Chantale, with whom he shared a lifetime of travel and adventure. A devoted father and grandfather, Kim leaves behind his sons and daughters-in-law—Nicholas (Katy), Nathan (Cara), and Nolan (Chanel)—as well as his cherished granddaughters, Harper and Charlie—and lastly his loving dog and best buddy, Barney. Whether he was smelling the pine, swimming in the pool, watching his sons play waterpolo, listening to music, making his granddaughters laugh with his Dad jokes, catching a game on TV, boating on the lake, or cooking for those he loved, Kim's joy for life was unmistakable and will be deeply missed.
