Laguna Beach, CA - Michael Joseph Gamerl passed away at home in Laguna Beach, California on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the age of 89, two-weeks shy of his 67th wedding anniversary, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

He leaves behind his beloved and devoted wife Ko, daughter Leona, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Ann, daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Danny Velasquez, and granddaughters Paloma and Lucille.

He was born June 23, 1936 to Joseph and Barbara Gamerl in Omaha, Nebraska and is predeceased by

older sister and brother-in-law Lorraine and Pat Dodge and is survived by younger brother and sister-in-

law Joseph Jr. and Jean Gamerl as well as several nieces and nephews.
